It’s a bird…it’s a plane, it’s…

This post is being written faster than a speeding bullet. A bullet that will enlighten you or at the worst makes you laugh. Hopefully.

One thing people don’t realize when they begin online dating is that their profile pictures are very important. And they have to be seen and interpreted and appreciated in a very small window of opportunity.

And often that small window is literally a small window. On many of the dating sites, your picture is compressed and made very tiny. And you have to look at how that picture of you is viewed in that circumstance.

One of my good friends joined a dating website and I looked at his profile. His pictures when re-sized looked fine. But his main picture when scrunched down looked like a large unattractive woman with a square head whose face needed to be introduced to the Mach3 Turbo.

And as his main picture, this is what the ladies saw before clicking on his profile. And this was the picture attached to his heartfelt message stating his interest in them.

And they didn’t respond.

So a word to the wise, even a good picture can look bad…check what yours looks like on the website itself.

The way I see it, if a girl is so shallow that she’s going to judge a person based upon a photo (and I’m not talking about how one’s body looks, as it’s impossible to hide it if you’re skinny, fat or buff), then good look to her. Because here’s my newsflash to her and her superficial “sorority”: not everyone is photogenic. There are factors, like lighting, the bulb of the camera and a bunch of other ones that I can’t think of, that can distort what a person looks like. If you really want to see what a person looks like, go out with them and find out for yourself! Sheesh.
